Eva Longoria is the stunningly beautiful Texan born brunette star of the popular TV show Desperate Housewives in which she plays Gabby Solis a wealth obsessed wife and former runway model who is married to less than honest businessman Carlos. Her most famous scenes include the long running affair with the rough and ready gardener John who was just half her age, and her constant rivalry with Carlos mother.
Eva has taken the entertainment industry by storm almost overnight after continuously moving on to bigger and more adventurous projects since her time on the hit show first began. She has starred in many different TV shows of all variety including the teen series Beverly Hills 90210 and the cult series Dragnet.
Her beauty and youthful looks recently helped her win the Maxim Magazine award for the number one hottest woman for the years 2005 and 2006, becoming the first woman to get the award two years in a row!
Longoria has also now set her sights firmly on pursuing a career in the film industry, and plans to concentrate on this after her contract is up on desperate housewives, she has already got one hit film under her belt in the form of ‘The Sentinel’ in which she starred alongside stars such as Michael Douglas and 24’s Kiefer Sutherland playing a secret service agent and loved every minute of filming. Having given a strong and believable performance if ‘The Sentinel’ is anything to go by then Eva Longoria certainly has a promising movie career ahead of her.
In 2006 Eva appeared alongside fellow celebs Christina Millian, and Christina Applegate to name but a few in pop princess Jessica Simpson’s latest video for her hit single ‘Public Affair’ which features the all of them on roller-skates having a fun girls night out.
She is currently dating San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker and has gushed to press about how in love the couple are. It seems there is simply no end to this stars talents and it will be very interesting to see what projects she has lined up for the future and what big budget films we will see her appearing in next. Whatever the challenge, we are sure that Eva can definitely rise to the occasion with her positive and professional attitude and fun down to earth personality.
