Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes was born in Miami, Florida on March 5th 1974. She is a successful actress with a large number of big budget films under her belt.
Eva dropped out of University to focus on her acting career, she dedicated all of her free time to appearing in anything she could, from commercials to music videos. She had a small part in singer and actor Will Smith’s music video for his hit summer song ‘Miami’ and eventually worked her way up to gaining parts in low budget films.
Her first big break came when she won the role of Vanessa in the horror film ‘Urban Legends – Final Cut’ and although the film wasn’t a massive hit it got her the attention she needed to make her way up to bigger and better roles such as the hit film ‘Training Day’ starring big actors such as the talented Denzel Washington and the gorgeous Ethan Hawke.
This established Eva as a serious actress and she next went on to star in the action film ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ which focused on a group of street car racers and police officers trying to take down a big crime boss. Eva played the main love interest in the film alongside actor Paul Walker who had originally starred in ‘The Fast and the Furious’ with actor Vin Diesel.
She worked with actor Will Smith once more in his huge comedy hit ‘Hitch’ in 2005 playing the girlfriend of love doctor Alex Hitchens. The movie was a global success and Eva played her role with natural talent.
Eva Mendes is a spokesmodel for the large cosmetics company ‘Revlon’ and has even tried her hand at writing books aimed at children.
She had a short career in interior design and was rated number 27 in the ‘Maxim’ magazine hot 100 in 2006. Eva has enjoyed relationships with various different people but likes to keep her private life closely guarded. Her most recent known relationship seems to have been with Peruvian filmmaker George Gargurevich.
Eva Mendes is currently in the process of completing filming on the new film ‘Ghost Rider’ alongside the acclaimed actor Nicolas Cage. The movie is based on a comic book and looks to be one of the biggest and best films to be released in the last two years. We will just have to wait and see if it lives up to its expectations.
