Roselyn had apparently showed a keen interest in acting and dancing from a very young age and used to put on shows for her family. She moved to New York in 1991 when she was just 18 years old to try to achieve her goal of making it big in the acting world.
She began to take regular acting singing and dancing classes and after returning to Puerto Rico she made her acting debut in 1992 in the film ‘Captain Ron’ alongside actor Kurt Russell.
She then returned to college for 3 years to study marketing which was a popular course in her family, but decided it wasn’t for her and left the course unfinished.
1993 saw Roselyn win the ‘Miss Puerto Rico Petite’ contest and in 1994 she went on to win the international title of ‘Miss America Petite’.
Roselyn soon decided that if she really wanted to further her career she would have to return to New York, which she did and quickly landed the role of "Pilar Domingo" in the drama ‘As the world turns’ she stayed on the show for a year before leaving to focus on her film career.
In 2001 her persistence had paid off when she got the role of martial arts star Jackie Chan’s love interest Isabella Molina in the hit action comedy ‘Rush Hour 2’ she played the role of a secret customs agent brilliantly and oozed sex appeal and class.
Thanks to this her career continued to rise and she soon found herself starring in several more films and eventually taking the role of Agent Elena Delgado in 2005 in the TV series ‘Without a trace’ the series proved to be a big hit and is growing in popularity week by week.
Roselyn is a keen animal rights supporter and actively campaigns for ‘PETA’ (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) even going so far as to appear nude in a campaign against wearing animal fur.
She was married to Gary Stretch for two years and since then has gone on to date salsa singer Victor Manuelle with whom she separated in 2005 and went on to date her current boyfriend actor Eric Winter from the show ‘Days of our lives’.
