Shannon Elizabeth
Born in Houston Texas on September 7th 1973 Shannon Elizabeth is an up and coming film actress and former fashion model. Raised as an only child by her parents in Waco Texas she once considered a professional career playing her much loved sport tennis before deciding to become a model and eventually a budding film star. She travelled all around the world with her modelling career before appearing in several low budget films including the notoriously bad classic b movie ‘Jack Frost’ about a killer snowman. The special effects were awful and the death scenes were laughable but somehow it has managed to become a classic, albeit for all the wrong reasons!
Shannon later went on to gain a role in the box office smash ‘American Pie’ alongside actors Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, and Alison Hannigan. Shannon played ‘Nadia’ the object of student Jim’s affection. The movie was hugely popular and its hilarious antics made fans cry out for a sequel ‘American Pie 2’ in 2001 which Shannon also appeared in.
She later went on to star in the horror film ‘13 Ghosts’ as Kathy Kriticos. The movie did fairly well and it manages to provide some genuinely scary scenes along the way. This was definitely a step up from her last horror Jack Frost!
Wes Craven cast her in ‘Cursed’ in 2005 about a brother and sister who are attacked by a werewolf and eventually begin to realise they two may be cursed. Although she didn’t have a very big part in the film it was definitely a step in the right direction.
Shannon Elizabeth went on to star in the popular ‘That 70’s show’ alongside Ashton Kutcher and played the part of ‘Brooke’ for several episodes. The character was well received and she seemed to fit in well with everyone on set.
Elizabeth had a relationship with actor Joseph D Reitman for 10 years and the couple were married for three. Shannon filed for a divorce in June 2005. Although the true reasons for the divorce were not known, the media speculated that it may have had something to do with Joseph helping take part in a practical joke on Shannon for the TV series ‘Punked’ in which he pretended she had been caught on a sex tape.
She is a keen poker player and is actually considered one of the best celebrity poker players around, she regularly takes part in tournaments and considers the game to be almost a second career to her.
