Stacy Ferguson
Stacy Ferguson is better known as ‘Fergie’ from the successful band ‘The Black Eyed Peas’. She is a Grammy Award winning artist who is currently pursuing a solo career as well as her involvement with the band.
Stacy was born in California and first started off in the Entertainment industry as a child actress appearing on the show ‘Kids Incorporated’ on which she worked for several years. She then voiced Sally Brown on the animated cartoon series ‘Snoopy’ for two episodes.
Eventually Stacy and a couple of her co stars started a band together called ‘Wild Orchid’ they released two albums together but their third album was never released by the record company who later decided that they could no longer keep them on. This affected all of the girls badly, but none more than Stacy who had counselling to help her through.
Despite this she spiralled further out of control and eventually developed an addiction to the drugs Crystal Meth and Ecstasy she lost so much weight that she had to start lying to her friends to cover up her drug abuse. She told people that she was bulimic.
Things started to look better however when she became a member of the band ‘The Black Eyed Peas’ replacing background singer Kim Hill who left in 2000. The black eyed peas have enjoyed global success and have been nominated for and awarded various different highly acclaimed music awards and continue to remain strong.
Fergie is also pursuing a solo career in both singing and returning back to her acting roots having appeared in the hit disaster movie remake of ‘Poseidon’ about the people desperately trying to survive on board a rapidly sinking ship. She has also appeared briefly as herself in the sequel to ‘Get Shorty’ which was called ‘Be Cool’ alongside Uma Thurman and John Travolta.
She is currently filming the new Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez film ‘Grind House’ a horror that is actually one movie by each director put together with fake trailers in between to make it seem more realistic.
Stacy is currently dating ‘Las Vegas’ TV show actor Josh Duhamel and recently made a guest appearance on the show in an episode called "Montecito Lancers". Her solo album ‘The Dutchess’ was released in September 2006 and is a varied mix of Stacy’s unique sounds with a Black eyed peas style feel to it.
