Teri Hatcher
Teri Hatcher is the American actress whose big claim to fame was appearing in the TV series ‘Lois and Clark – The new adventures of superman’. She is now mostly known for her role as Susan Mayer in the cult drama series ‘Desperate Housewives’ which has become a roaring success since it was first aired in 2004.
’Louis and Clark’ was where it all started off for Teri. She played the role of reporter Lois Lane working at the Daily Planet alongside Dean Cain who took on the role of Superman. The series was more popular than anyone could have imagined and it ran for around 86 episodes before coming to an end in 1997.
Teri later went on to star in various movies such as ‘Tomorrow never dies’ and ‘Spy Kids’ and featured as a guest star in an episode of Seinfeld before winning the role of Susan Mayer in the hit TV series ‘Desperate Housewives’ about the lives and loves of a group of housewives and families who live on Wisteria Lane.
The success of the show soon spiralled out of control and it was being talked about everywhere. The media and viewers all seemed to love it and Teri once again found herself right in the very centre of the entertainment spotlight. The show is currently on its 3rd series and is going strong with its intriguing storylines and complex characters this is a show not to be missed.
It has been reported that Teri Hatcher is now one of the highest paid Television actresses in America, she allegedly earns $380,000 per episode. She released her first book, Burnt Toast: And Other Philosophies of Life in 2006 which was described as a personal, heartfelt, and light-hearted manifesto on life, love, and happiness. Along with the book she has also launched her own line of clothing and merchandise.
There has been much speculation over Teri Hatcher’s personal life and it was rumoured that she was having a relationship with George Clooney; Teri denied this stating that the pair just went on one date and it didn’t go any further. In 1988 she married Marcus Leithold, but they filed for divorce in 1989.
In 1994 she re married, this time to actor Jon Tenney the couple had their daughter Emerson Rose in 1997 but later divorced in March 2003 with Teri reportedly legally forced to give Jon half of her savings.
